Dear fellow IOSH crowd, I am in need of a fire safety guru or guidance on a course to attend, to assist me in learning more about fire safety, particularly in commercial buildings, fire risk assessments, design, installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting.
I have already attended the one week fire safety One course at Moreton in Marsh, but need to go further. Moreton wasnt my ideal choice of venue for courses, especially when sharing a dorm with lots of firemen, too distracting.
Can anyone advise?

IOSH have a 2 day course on Fire Risk assessment. You can find details of it in the professional development sectiojn of this web-site. Also if you are not a member of the Fire Risk Management Group you should consider joining as they discuss many of the issues you raise at their networking meetings.

You could try AMT International, their fire safety management certificate course is most likely what your looking for.

I attended an excellent Fire Safety Management course provided by the Strathclyde Fire Brigade in Glasgow. Their number is 0141 302 3222.
