Posted By S J Barr A vacancy has arisen for a regional based H&S Manager to join a Group Safety department of a national telecommunications support services contractor. The position will be based around the Edinburgh area but with widespread coverage of Scotland, reporting to the Group Safety Manager. As a minimum (TechSP) with a good level of knowledge, competence in telecommunications, civils or general construction an advantage. I have 5 years H&S experience, accross a variety of industries, mainly construction. I have NVQ4 and NEBOSH NGC, FIre Risk Assessment, Planning Supervision and P405 Asbestos Certification. I have gained TechSP in February 2005 and i am currently doing a Health and Safety Management Diploma at Caledonian University, Glasgow. On completion of this course i will be looking to get corporate membership of IOSH. I work as a Health and Safety officer at a large Sewage works in Glasgow at the moment.
