Posted By colin gilstin The largest Commercial Vehicle Rental Company in the UK, based in the North East of England is urgently looking to appoint an Asst H&S Manager / Advisor (job title will be dependent on qualifications and experience). The company has in excess of 80 locations in the UK & Ireland with the majority having their own vehicle workshop facilities to service and maintain the fleet of vehicles. The individual will be reporting directly to myself, the Group Safety Manager and the persons objective will be to support, advise and communicate a positive safety culture to all employees throughout the organisation. The primary function of the individual will be to co-ordinate and manage an annual audit programme for all group locations throughout the UK / Ireland, so extensive travelling will be required. The preparation and delivery of in-house safety courses will also form part of the role. The individual must hold at least a Nebosh Cert and should have at least three years experience in a safety role. Knowledge of the transport industry would be beneficial. It is envisaged that the role will be based in the Midlands streching to the outskirts of the M25. The person may be based in an operational site or from home.
