I finished an accredited course in Hong Kong in 2004, and had not yet enrolled to any member status to IOSH, as initally, I wanna to enroll as full member after 3 years of work experience gained.
However, the introduction of chartered member status and IPD greatly disturb my planning.
I am quite confused whether I should enroll as grad member before IOSH shift to new scheme, or come it later, could any body suggest the difference.
Moreover, I would like to ascertain whether any graduate from ascredited course had to be grad member for two years under the new scheme.

Tommy,
It would be to your advantage to join IOSH now as a Graduate. You can be admitted up to the 30th September under the current rules. Once you are able to demonstrate three years pro-rata health and safety experience and have completed a full 2 year CPD cycle enrolled with IOSH you will be able to progress to CMIOSH without having to undertake the Initial Professional Development programme required by the revised Charter which is adopted in November. You must have submitted your application by 30th September to be considered for this route, we will not be processing applications after this date under the old rules. You can download an application form from this website.

Thx
May I know what is meant by Pro rata SH experience???
If I currently employed as an assistant safety officer in a construction company in full time basic, and I continuously work for a period of three years, would that meet the requirement??

And if I shift to another company in the three years period, would there be any evidence proof should be submitted, to verify the experience in the old company?
Regards,
Tommy
