I am seeking a H&S position I am currently a health and safety officer for a food company based in Spalding, Lincolnshire. I have six years experience. I am a qualified manual handling trainer/assessor and hold the NEBOSH general certificate. I have a good knowledge base in H&S training. and I am an IOSH qualified noise assessor. Set back, I have now been swept up in a large redundancy session by the company, but which leaves me in a positive mind looking to continue my career in H&S.

Andrew, there has been a H&S Managers position advertised in Spalding by a food company on jobsite.co.uk might be worth a look. I'm in Spalding myself, not much in our area is there?

Thank You Stuart. Although I do not reply on local papers when looking at potential job moves, it is most worrying that job vacancies very rarely look for health & safety officers. I think that rural areas like South Holland have still to wake up to health & safety. Even a child being killed in a local garden centre does not wake employers up. Even with my present employers, now an ex public company, H & S is being put on a back foot, and all the hard work over the last six years is going to waste with these current redundancies.
Thank you for your prompt to chase up the Job Site vacancy.
