The succsesfull individual will lead risk assessment programmes and guide assessors in carrying out the process, and will ensure that all assessments are suitable and sufficient as required under legislation. Will provide information, instruction and training for the EHS risk assessment team.Will be responsible for the safety training programme as required by the annual EHS training needs analysis for the business.Will assist managers in investigating all accidents / near misses, with the aim of addressing the root cause of such events, thus minimising future loss to the business.Will lead the EHS planned inspection programme which will ensure that acceptable standards are maintained throughout the site. Will provide information, instruction and training for the EHS inspection team.Will manage the EHS corrective action programme. This programme will address the root cause of non conformities and is a vital part of our ongoing risk management activities.Will become a member of the emergency team, and will assist in the updating / improvement of emergency procedures.Will lead the contractor / vendor pre-assessment programmes to ensure legislative and EHS compliance. These programmes will assist in the effective risk management of one of our major risk exposuresWill lead office safety programmes, and will ensure legal compliance in this expanding area of potential risk and potential loss.Will support the business development and bid teams by ensuring that all relevant EHS information and documentation is supplied in a timely manner.Will lead all COSHH risk management programmes
Applicants will need to have experience of the following :-
Must be MIOSH
Nebosh Diploma or recognised equivalant.
Sound knowledge of Health and safety law and auditing systems.
• At least five years professional experience• In depth experience associated with manufacturing processes is essential• Experience of Telecoms including installation activity including working abroad• Experience of implementing relevant Health and safety standards (e g OHSAS 18001
