Posted By stevie potts Hi there,is it just me or is there no vacancies in the tyne and wear area? I have my NEBOSH Gen Cert,IOSH Managing Safely and five years H&S experience,although i have been in the construction industry since leaving school( im 34 now ).If anyone reading this has any vacancies,or even advice,please dont hesitate to get in touch. Posted By sonshine i'm in the north east, but not as far up as newcastle. i'm sure there were a few jobs in Newc in the last few months. hoping not to try and teach you to suck eggs or anything-have you tried the jobsite uk website and some of the agencies in the SHP? i'm actually the same age as you too, but with only just under a year exp.

Posted By Stevie B Stevie do not become disheartened, I live in the same area, the jobs in H&S are few and far between, just keep on trying. I have an MSc in H&S Management and it has taken me a while to get a job locally, persistence paid off. It may be prudent to carry on with your studies and go for a diploma, as a lot of vacancies are asking for diploma level. Good luck Steve
