Posted By Keith E Depending upon your qualifications, you are in my view greatly under selling yourself. £10/hr is slightly less than £20k per year. I would suggest you need to be quoting at least £18-19 per hour, or as a daily rate of £100 perday minimum. I am about to start a contract paying quite a bit more than that. Consultancies would be looking for probably £400 per day in your part of the country. I have heard of up to £600 per day (but that's not what the consultant gets!!) The trouble is if you quote too low, it helps to bring the going rate down for all of us!!
