I have just completed the Nottingham Trent Diploma in Safety, Health and Environmental Management at South Tyneside College. Prior to this I have studied and passed the NEBOSH General Certificate and IOSH Managing Safely.
I am due to be made redundant from my current position as Health and Safety Advisor during April and therefore I am seeking alternative employment within the North East area.
I have lots of enthusiasm and a determination to suceed and would be grateful if anyone has a vacancy which may be appropriate would let me know.
My contact e.mail address is mark.fall@co-op.co.uk

Dear Mark,
Select Education is based at Stamford College in Lincolnshire as well as all over the country. We have a vacancy from the beginning of the new academic year, 26 weeks long at 3 days a week teaching H & S to the college students. We also have 20 hours a week available immediately at the college as well as between 6 - 12 hours a week at our Spalding centre. If you are interested at all, please contact me either by email or at my office number of 01780 481085. Many thanks, Rob Hewlett.

I'm sure that to those down south anything North and East of them is the North-East but the North-East generally means north and east of Yorkshire. Typically Northumberland, Durham, and North Yorkshire. Lincolnshire is hardly on the doorstep.
Whilst I appreciate those taking the time to respond to requests for work, some knowledge of UK geography would be beneficial.

I sure that for a 3 day week, if the rate of pay is suitable and there is an overnight allowance, then it would be worth considering. Instead of being dismissive, don't you think its worth asking the question or does everbody have jobs that are on their doorsteps.

A 3 day job that pays enough to live on!!!! Wish there were more of those about!!
I commented because I have several times been given information about jobs and then discovered that actually those jobs are nowhere near where I live. Typically offered from people down south who have no idea about the geography up north.
I'm not being dismissive, I'm being practical. Not all of us have the luxury of being able to accept jobs that are that far away from home.

If you sit there long enough Im sure the milkman will be along to give you a job. Although even those doorstep jobs seem to have gone these days. Never mind - the easter bunny will be along soon

There's no need to be rude. I have two teenagers doing GCSE's and A levels and also a fiancee who has a job to take into consideration. My family committments take priority over everything else, including my career. You may not agree with that but it's my choice to make.
For information, I don't generally have a problem getting work within commuting distance of where I live, which is why I don't need people wasting my time with jobs over a 100 miles away. I don't sit on my arse waiting for jobs to come to me and I don't appreciate people like yourself implying I do.

As a suggestion, if those who require employment put in the Post Codes, or city /town + radius of travel, in which they were willing to work or travel, it would help all users to understand requirements and take out the North / South divide messages that seem to appear from time to time?
We might all learn the geography that we ducked at school??
