Posted By Martin Turner Colleagues: I am still seeking to engage an experienced hands-on, site based contract SHE Manager preferably with African exp to work on a 8/3 rotation at Bonny Island, Nigeria, Africa. SHE Practitioners should preferably have recent and relevant Oil & Gas or Heavy Industry experience and also hold a recognised SHE Engineering or SHE Management qualification and have strong leadership and communication skills. Posted By AlB Bonny Island lies within a part of Nigeria that the foreign office recommends that you do not travel to due to the high risk of violence and kidnapping. Other than that, it sounds extremely enticing. More information would be good for me too.

Posted By Descarte Just avoid the delta areas. We've had guys working out there quite a lot and recently and had no problems. By reading the news stories, those who are unlucky enough to be kidnapped are treated well and held for a bribe from local government or bp/shell, of which they never disclose the amount. Though I wouldn't like to be kidnapped at all, I would rather be kidnapped working in Nigeria than Iraq!
