Posted By Simpletom I am about to advertise a vacancy. The role involves general H & S advice to two diffent areas, carrying out H & S audits of 12 contractors but mainly the management of the accident reporting database (comprised of records sent in by 25 contractor companies based at 60 sites and managing two database input / analyst staff. What do I call the post in order to get a suitable applicant, bearing in mind the role? Safety analyst? Safety manager? safety performance manager? or what?

Posted By garyh Never mind the title - they mean nothing anyway. Pay the right salary, get the right person. Simple.

Posted By Jim Walker I agree with Gary Disregarding my official title:, I'm usually "oy you" , something unprintable behind my back, Management seem to think its "scapegoat". I don't give a monkeys as the job pays well and is interesting.

Posted By Simpletom The name is important but only in the advert. I don't want to give the wrong impression of the work from the title at the top of the ad. Believe it or not, some people will not read an ad with a tile that does not attract them or sound like them!! The job's in London Am I allowed to put a link to the advert on here?
