I am currently working as Health & Safety Manager / Construction Stage Supervisor for an engineering firm near Lancaster but am hoping to find something closer to home (Congleton but used to travelling). Prior to my current role I gained a wide variety of hands-on health and safety experience: 2 years as Self-employed / sub-contract Health and Safety Consultant (working in construction, transport, insurance survey, health & safety inspections for property managers and 6 months as Retained Safety Officer for a Housebuilder in West Cork) amongst other things; 2 years General Manager for a road-haulage / warehousing company; For the first 15 years of my career I gained a wealth of risk assessment/management/health and safety experience working as Senior Engineering Underwriter for a large insurer. I am currently working towards part 2 of my NEBOSH Diploma (already having obtained a Credit-Grade 1 for Part 1) as well as Credit at 'NEBOSH General H&S Certificate' and Credit at 'Managing Safely in Construction Certificate'. I also have my 'Management & Inspection of Scaffold Certificate' and am actively involved in CPD with IOSH.
