Posted By John L Downes Having been involved in health and safety for quite a number of years now, i have recently parted company with my previous employer of many years. I am an enthusiastic person who can adapt to most situations and am constantly looking to learn and improve my skills. I worked in a multi disciplined industry with a wide range of activities and each day was different whether it meant writting a code of practice of going on a safety tour and carrying out risk assessments. I have an iosh Managing Safely Certificate a nebosh General Certificate a nebosh Diploma Part 1 (Part 2 exam this June) i am currently studying for my nebosh Construction Certificate and will take the exam at the end of June. if there are any employers out there who are looking for a flexible, dedicated, enthusiastic health and safety manager/advisor who would bring a wealth of experience to their company then e-mail me and i will send you a copy of my CV.

Posted By SHEL I am wondering exactly the same thing . I have been looking for a new position for nearly a year . Granted I have had offers of interviews and have been to half a dozen interviews . In that time I have found my nervousness and interview technique has improved dramatically , moreover my CV has being changed out of all recognition . However I still have not got an offer . I am a health and safety inspector with over 11 years experience in a wide range of workplace disciplines . So if you can tell me exactly what it is employers are looking for I would love to be enlightened .
