Posted By Charley Farley-Trelawney GK No advice; you are getting a second interview because you are good and they want to see if you are as good as they think! I will however wish you hearty best wishes for Monday. CFT

Posted By Martin Keeler Hi, My advice would be believe in yourself. You probably have greater subject knowledge than your interviewer. Good luck, be confident. Dr K

Posted By Alexander Falconer Graham As CFT says, you are good, but the purpose is to see if you are as good as you think you say you are. As the post is for Risk Assessor, how about brushing up on your RA skills, better still why not impress by explaining how you would implement a RA programme in their organisation - I find this worked for me in previous employment. Good Luck

Posted By garyh Depends on the format of the interview. As you have got through stage 1 they must think you can do the job, question is can you fit in to their culture / team? So they may well be lookng at you and your style of managing and solving problems etc. It may be a competence based interview - eg give me an example of when you had to deal with situation x - what did you do to solve the problem? What steps did you take etc. Another one is what's your greatest / most recent achievement (sometimes biggest failure!) They are looking to see if you can get things done, work in a team, communicate, learn from mistakes etc. On the other hand the interview may be a shambolic affair with no structure! Don't rush answers, think it through and be honest PS gilding the Lily is OK, bit don't lie or Bull****. Good luck!

Posted By gham You want to remain confident but not cockey so just be yourself as much as possible ( unless your a goon, but you can't be if they asked you back) and think about what your saying before you say it Good Luck I was in the same position as you last week and got an offer

They say they have had alot of responce, no wonder!! i have the nebosh gen + iosh tech sp and 9 years working in this industry, so hope this goes some way to helping them make there minds up.. though am willing to relocate anywhere in uk, this is local, oh the irony!....

Posted By Jeff Manion How about talking about risk assessment in broad terms mentioning "significant risks" not risk assessment for covering back side risk assessment, informative and easily understood by persons who it may impact. Starting with areas such as office / warehouse / transport then breaking them done from overall risk to managable risk. Hope this sparks you - best of luck.

Posted By Glyn Atkinson Isthere a website for this organisation at all? If so, research their particular work locations so that you might refer to a certain work area problem and ask if "number two store" has this type of problem and how you would resolve it if they had? This shows that you are interested enough to find out about them and want to express that interest in a practical way. On the job interview for my present post, I mentioned that a safety induction and pre employment health check for all new employees would be a way to improve who actually came on the books, not the - "pick two from the queue at the gate on a Monday" - scenario as had been the previous norm for the company. Try to look for a practical area where your involvement could improve current safety standards - preferably without a lot of cost - they all like to hear savings mentioned - and finally - the best of luck !!
