Is there anyone out there who is in a position of employment which works with Hotels and the like carrying out OHS? the only Jobs I see available along this line are in the middle east. Is it the stark reality, that the Hospitality Industry is still one of those industries which is left at the road side & mercy of hotel HR staff regarding the Implimentation & Mgt of OHS&RM?
Any Info for key placyers in this sector would be greatly appreciated.

I take it that there has been no response to this thread that the answer to my question is no!, there isn't really anyone specialised in OHS in the hospitality sector?

Why not contact the relevant hotels direct and ask the question?
Having experienced working for a well known international 5 star establisment in Scotland (Perthshire), I can assure you these jobs are done by qualified & competent HSE professionals.
In the past 12 months, have also seen similar posts advertised for Hotel chains/groups (Hilton, McDonald, etc.)

Didn't mean to get anyones back up, I have posted my resume to many recruitment agencies dealing in the hospitality trade, My experience with posting direct to hotels has not harvested much reaction. thought I might find some individuals who could aid me in hoe to attain at least a reaction form HR recruiters in the industry regarding OHS employment.

If you check the local branch websites for both Edinburgh & West of Scotland, both list a vacancy at the Gleneagles Hotel for a Risk Manager.
PS I was a Risk Coordinator at Gleneagles some years ago, before being headhunted for a position elsewhere

james would said phone call be in relation to a position in the field, or just a general chat? As I presently live in Ireland, calling a mobile from here to the UK would be expensive. I would need to know I am justifying the expense.
