Posted By Barrie Etter I have been in the field of Quality over twenty years and have a passion for the subject, feeling that the end product must be right, the same goes for Safety and Environmental matters as well. In my last post (1), I installed and integrated ISO’s 9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18001. Produced procedures and training instructions for the company where none existed previously. All the above were audited internally to BS 19011 standard by my team of internal auditors and myself. The system was then externally audited by a BSI client manager (2), of whom recorded only minor observations in the last three visits. With the system up and running relatively smoothly and whilst working with the I.T. dept, we were working towards making and placing the system manuals / procedures available to every pc desktop within the company. On a monthly basis a period report was produced that was presented to the board. The report covered highlights of Quality, H&S and Environmental issues. I was formally trained in Quality Assurance techniques at Blackpool Polytechnic to HND level and examined by IQA, gaining straight credit in the results. My I.T. literacy is high being trained by Pitman’s in Word and Excel. I have been trained in occupational health in an industrial setting and was working towards an NVQ 4 diploma in Health & Safety before leaving the company where I gained over four years experience in the field of H&S where I would wish to continue my career. Also up until recently was a member of C.W.O.S.H. (3). The previous post allowed me to hone my communications skills and set personal targets for completing projects before schedule due date. I am an affiliate member of IOSH and also a member of CIWEM. Please find enclosed a copy of my CV and appended email addresses / phone numbers of referees should you wish to contact them in advance. I look forward to discussing the position further with you. Yours sincerely, Barrie Etter - Tech.
