I have also conducted risk assesments also accident investigation chaired the safety Committee I was also in charged of the QA system to the iso standard any help you could offer or better still any employment would be great. I have taken a job as a labourer at moment to try and increase my knowledge of the construction industry I also needed the money.

Hi Stevie

Can't help with work but can give some positive feedback. You have done the right thing in getting into the construction industry. I am sure you have checked all the agencies who advertise jobs and most of these jobs are in construction. Start speaking to people within the industry finding out as much as you can . Have you consider doing the NEBOSH Construction Certificate or any other qualifications. That will increase your chances of work. You could also try CITB.

Hope that helps

Regards
Robert Paterson

Recruiters are reminded that any response to someone indicating their availability for work should be sent privately by email.

You can access a forum users email address by first logging into the forums, and then clicking on their name above their posting. This will be coloured red and will open a private email link if that user has opted to make their address available.

Many thanks,

Neal Clark, Web Co-ordinator.

Hello Stevie,

As I'm sure you're aware, most of the HSE jobs with your expertise required are in Aberdeen. If you'd be interested in Aberdeen please let me know.

Thanks

Hi Steve,

Sorry to read about your predicament. I was in the same position as you a year or so ago and now find myself having to commute 4 hours per day to Edinburgh from my home in the Ayrshire area. H&S jobs are few and far between in my locality and hence the need to travel. I am afraid this may be the option you may have to go down but at least you will still be able to get home each night abeit a little tired. I would recommend registering your details with the recruitment agencies. They helped me alot.
