Posted By Mark Bywater Paul, Having just been through a lengthy pay review with my current employer and ending up decidely dis-satisfied with the outcome I can offer you these words of wisdom. You are worth as much as any employer is prepared to pay you and if you accept this amount then you are happy to be valued at that level. You may think you deserve more but unless you can prove your worth and convince your employer of this, and get it put into your salary then you should look elsewhere. I am currently starting to look elsewhere as I am about £1500 short of what I feel I am worth; and for this small difference my employer will lose a wholly committed and, I think, talented, ambitious and experienced safety professional. You are the only true judge of what you are worth, but if you accept a salary that is lower than you desire...DON'T moan about it, you have accepted that is your current worth. I know this may sound defeatist but we are all different with varying qualifications, skill levels and management styles. You are the final judge...if you don't like it, do something about it. Best wishes, Mark

Posted By Paul Price Mark thanks for your comments .Let me clarify my initial question .I am trying to move on from my current employer as Iam not satisfied with the salary.I live in Luton but for the right salary would be willing to work in London bearing in mind that it would cost £3500 in train fares plus travelling time . All I want to know what sort of salary I could expect taking these factors into consideration.

Posted By anon1234 £15000 - £150000 It all depends on the level of responsibility of the role, the employers salary structure, etc. etc. etc.
