Hello All
This is my first post to this site. I am struggling to find my first position in health and safety. I have recently passed the Nebosh General Certificate(self-funded, currently studying the Nebosh Construction (also self-funded), am a safety representative for my current company with a few more courses under my belt,but with no prospects of full health and safety position.I have been around health and safety for nearly three years, I am aiming for an Environmental, Diploma and Degree in the future, I just need a start. Can anyone help please? I am in Lincolnshire and will travel. Trudi

Im in Stamford, near Peterborough. Not many Health and Safety jobs in this area, they all seem to be around London.

From Scunthorpe (come on the Iron!), but moved down to Kent for my first safety position 5 years ago, then to bedfordshire and now up to scotland.

My experience is that if you want to get your foot in the door, you have to be prepared to travel. It would be possible but take a long time to find a job in the North lincs area. You could always try the local council for an assisstant safety position. The sunthorpe evening telegraph website has a listing of jobs all over the NE Lincs, best one I saw was for Conoco Humber at North Lindsey where I worked for a year as an industrial hygienist on a work experience scheme (maybe worth enquiring also) still good pay and very good experience.

Thanks for the replies. I have posted on the hse site too and registered with a few agencies and applied for a few jobs, I am just so keen to get started. Can you tell!!!
