Posted By Bill Bircham Hi All,
Many of you who have been following the debate over the recent changes banning the advertising of position in this forum have dropped hints about alternative forums that have arisen to fill this gap.
Would someone kindly send me the link, I wish to available myself of this facility.
Regards
Bill

Posted By Bill Bircham Thanks to all those that have responded direct, I'm happy to share this knowledge with anyone who needs it if you contact me direct.
For those of you looking for work, I would recommend you still use this forum as this is where I checked first.
For those of you looking to advertise your vacant positions within your organisations, the 'other place' is worth a punt, but is mainly taken up by agencies advertising rather than those actively seeking themselves.
I hope this helps those who need it.
Regards
Bill

Posted By Bill Bircham Phil,
A good question, the alternative site does not charge to post a job advert, just requires you to register, hence, it does not seek to operate for a commercial gain. Will be in touch.
Moderator - I would welcome your comments on this. No doubt you have already got the address of the alternative site (if not, I can supply). I would seek clarity as to which part of the AUG it breaches such that it cannot be posted here.
Regards
Bill

Posted By Arran Linton - Smith In order to clarify what is peremitted to be posted on this forum AUG2 states: Users must not use the forums for any commercial purpose (including the advertising of jobs, goods and services), or operate surveys, contests or chain letters, or promote causes or campaigns. Course providers and product / service suppliers must only give basic contact details in response to a request for information about specific courses and / or products. Basically, (as you can see above) this Guideline does not permit information about specific services and this why this particular careers service cannot be advertised. Additional guidance over the use of this forum is placed on the 'Request for site moderator guidance - availability of job seekers – replies' thread which can be seen via http://www.iosh.co.uk/in...iew&forum=2&thread=21080Arran Linton - Smith
