Hi, Sorry dude but your salary demands are way off the mark. I have just spent 4 years there. The problem is that there are other nationalities that will work in Dubai for alot less (this doesn't mean that the standards are lower i must point out). Your salary will be alot less than that but is made up by bonuses (i received 3 months salary as a bonus every year minimum), flights, medical, accommodation etc. All of which you MUST get in a signed contract. The contract is everything to these people. It will also stand you in good stead with Dubai Municipality if you have a contract grievance. Plus it is not a bed of roses, it's tax free money yes, but it's hard work, 6 days a week, not many holidays. It's true what they say, the standard of living is very good, but the quality of life is not so good.. You must do your homework and find out if the company are good payers for one thing, as some companies (extremely well known companies i might add) sometimes didn't bother paying their employees for sometimes months on end. Be careful......Good companies: Al Naboodah, Al Futtaim Tarmac, arabtec, wade adams etc
