Can any one offer advice in getting a start in Health and Safety; I seem to always come up against the same obstacle "experience"

I have 18 years experience offshore, 10 of which I was a very active Safety Representative, I have a Nebosh general certificate, TUC level 3 health and safety certificates and I’m currently studying the National Diploma which is self funded.

Is there someone out there, willing to take a chance on my commitment and enthusiasm?

Location: west of Aberdeen. Offshore preferable, would consider work overseas.

Thanks
Joe

Hi Joe

Unfortunately you are in the same position as countless others on the forum looking for a job in H&S.

IOSH are looking at the prospect of mentoring and hopefully come up with an approach that will enable people like you to get on the first rung. Until then Joe you need to be continually knocking on the doors of agencies and searching websites but still getting you qualification.

Good Luck for the future

Regards
