Good Morning to you all, thank you for your attention!
Due to a major downturn in the business, I now find myself in the position of having to be a little proactive and step up the search for an alternative role as soon as possible.
I am currently the Health, Safety & Environmental Manager for a medium sized, multi site, servicing company who installs services & maintains domestic gas central heating systems.
How would I describe myself?
“A confident, committed, enthusiastic, highly motivated QA, Health, Safety & Environment professional, with an impressive achievement record.”
Over 20 years experience in the engineering, manufacturing, electronics, chemical, plastics and food processing sectors, in addition to a stint at a world famous 5 star luxury hotel in Perthshire.
As the “group” (and only) HSE Manager, I not only manage the corporate and strategic HSE functions, but also advise and support contract management on all HSE matters.
Originally qualified and trained as a design & development engineer, educated to HNC in an mechanical engineering discipline. I hold full corporate MIIRSM and Tech IOSH status. Also achieved a SVQ Level 5 in operational management, Dip EM, ISO 9000 & 14000 auditor, and other qualifications too numerous to mention. Currently studying for the NEBOSH Diploma part 2, with examinations scheduled for December 2006.
The last 13 years have been specialising with particular emphasis towards the development and implementation of Management Systems to ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) & BS 8800/OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety).
In addition have also developed numerous HR policies & procedures and training & development programmes (development to delivery of training courses).
Proven track record for continuous improvement using a persuasive “people” management style.
