Posted By garyh I have recently become a limited company - ie I am self employed, offering my consultant services as a safety manager.
I have been advised that I should have 3rd party liability insurance. Can anyone advise, and reccoemnd a broker if possible?

Posted By rks You will need professional indemnity insurance if you are offering your services as a consultant. Try a company called sennet these are quite reasonable.

Posted By Tony Brunskill Our broker beat them all but under FSA rules it would be remiss of me to post their names here unless I had a signed introducer agreement. But if you emailed me asking if I knew any Brokers I might be able to mention a name. to avoid the spam I am tbrunskill and I wourk at corporatesafetysolutions who are a dot co dot uk company. You work it out.
Regards
Tony

Posted By Dave Nicholls 1 Word of warning. Check the exclusions clauses in the policy document. Some of the cheap professional indemnity insurance policies exclude work in a wide range of indusrties.
Just do your homework before selecting a policy.
Personally I use ICON insurance.
Hope this helps
