Dear Sir,

I am a medical doctor and have finished my master in Safety Promotion from Karolinska Institutet, department of Public Health Sciences, Div. of Social Medicine, Stockholm, Sweden. I was a research assistant in the same department for one year.

I fulfil the basic requirements for this post as I have a public health professional with special interest in Health and Safety. My master grooms me in this field. Currently I am preparing for NEBOSH certificate and has good understanding of COSHH regulations in UK. My study visits to the WHO designated safe communities broaden my view and techniques needed for the safety in a community. Injury is a devastating blow to the society and it must be prevented. Prevention can be brought by doing interventions. I am good in assessing the risk and then do the appropriate interventions. I learned all these techniques during my master and research assistant job in the world renowned institute, Karolinska, Sweden. Moreover, I am well versed with the statistical software like SPSS and STATA for analysing the data and make intervention plans. I am good at computers skills especially the Microsoft Office applications, website and Internet along with other such things. Not only this I have good organizational skills regarding taking the initiatives and fulfilling the responsibilities, good interpersonal skills and has the excellent ability to work independently and as a team work. I am too keen and anxious to learn modern experimental techniques. An opportunity to work with you, I believe, would greatly enhance my knowledge and insight in addition to providing extensive exposure to the role of Safety in modern science.

To give a brief synopsis about myself, in recent years, besides having various clinical experiences, I am the author of a student-to-student book on Central Nervous System and a physiology supplement “Croissiere Au Miscellaneous”. I have also been involved in active research - conducted projects which were presented at various International and National conferences. I have the honour to attend the International Conferences in Czech Republic, Austria and Germany where I presented my research work.

I am seeking all opportunities, which would lead to the fulfilment of my interest. Being aware of the responsibility that this profession demands, I am both confident and determined to give it my best.

I will be happy to provide any further information or necessary documents.

Sincerely yours,

Dr. Sheikh Muazzam Nasrullah

If yo have a degree in medicine then you will probably get at least 5 times the salary of a H&S Bod.

You may be best going into Occupational Health rather than H&S IMHO.
