Searching for a new offshore safety advisor position

Posted By Jim Raistrick Prior to my offshore career, I was a site supervisor for a major mechanical handling company. This gave me significant dockyard, naval marine, nuclear and petrochemical experience. I now have over six years offshore UKCS experience, of which the last two include a safety position. With an IOSH Managing Safely (construction) certificate and an NEBOSH national general certificate (credit), I am looking to move into a position which will allow me the benefit of both good career prospects and potentially furthering my education in the ever changing world of offshore safety and health. Any advise will be most welcomed and should anyone know of any suitable forthcoming positions, I would be very grateful of the information.

Posted By Dee Jim, I would suggest you start with www.oilcareers.com website - this is the main source of offshore positions both UK and overseas, contract and staff. You can receive daily alerts with regards to the types of positions you are interested in. I have the QHSE alert and often get at least two job postings a day through. Hope this helps. Dee

Posted By William Oilcareers.com is ok, but i think there are more positions worldwide on oilandgasjobsearch.com, but the best one for current offshore vacancies is the press and journal website (http://jobs.thisisnorthscotland.co.uk/), i also noticed there was a vacancy on it that may be off interest to you so i have emailed it to you as they only stay on that site for a few days.
