Posted By Chris D For a while now i have considered the benefits of relocating to Dubai.
I have a partner and two young children. At Christmas we decided to go for it, so ive stepped up my search for employment.
I am a Plater by trade with welding and rigging experience mainly within the Oil, Chemical and Construction industries. Im also a qualified Health and Safety Officer (NEBOSH) and a member of IOSH. In total i have approximately 10 years experience.
As anyone got any advice or experience in this area which you would be willing to share? Thanks in advance.

Posted By ian milne Also, log onto www.worldwideworker.com for any of these positions out that way. While dubai is a relatively safe destination, not too sure about some of the other UAE one's, especially with political climates being what they are nowadays. There is a hell - a - lot of construction work out there guys for expereienced HSE guys (i dont have construction experience though). Apologies to moderators as this aint an advertisement for dat website, just to help our fellow colleagues.

Posted By Chris D Ive tried a lot of oil and gas web sites to no avail. I have a good deal of experience but ive never worked abroad before, is this holding me back? If so, how do i get my first contract abroad?
Should i consider paying a fee to some of these agencies?

Posted By Helene Brittain Please can you send me your full C.V. I am aware of some top level recruitment in Dubai at the moment for certain industries and if your C.V. can match up with any requirements I will let you know a.s.a.p. I can't promise - but I can only see if this could be a possibility for you. This applies to anyone else reading this too. I'm new to this system - stumbled across it by accident as I have just started in International Head Hunting so I'm not sure if my e.mail address will show up helene@clarksayer.com Hope to hear from you soon. Helene
