Dear All,

Some of you might still remember my message from last year "Is there anybody out there" written at the desperate times of searching for this first Health and Safety job.
It wasn't easy, what is these days, however I stuck with my decission and it payed off.
A lot of you will agree that especcialy when you're trying to change the career, it can be even harder trying to convience a new employer that this is what you want to do.
I can honestly say, all that stress, accepting a pay cut, sleepless nights were worth what I have now. In October I started my new job as an Assistant Health and Safety Advisor and just last week I've passed my probation period and already got a pay rise. All I had was NEBOSH General Certificate and lots of will to prove that I can do this job better or the same, as anyone else with previous experience.
This thread is just to say to all new starters that dreams do come true, as long as you believe in yourself.
And to all employers out there...give a chance to beginners and you might be nicely surprised.
Wishing you all the very best for this New Year.

Anna

Thanks to everyone who responded.

I just hope that I've managed to change minds of those who are still reluctant to employ new starters. Sometimes it's worth taking the risk- you might be nicely surprised!

All the very best.

Anna
