I have completed the NEBOSH certificate and I am currently doing the NEBOSH diploma, i know that these qualifactions are recognised all over the world by many different countries, but does Canada accept them ? Can you work there with these qualifications ? Will they be accepted by other training institutions to continue a course of study?

i contacted the arivebc centre, they will look into it for you, i asked exactley the same question last week, got a prompt response, they had never eared of it and neither had the construction dept, they sent an e-mail to there h&s adviser and will foreward the response to me.

you can have a look at this site, looks like there version of iosh www.csse.org.

i could not find anything about cross over qualifications, i also e-mailed them, still no response.

we have an immigration lawyer, we have now put it on his toes, he usualy comes up trumps, again ill let you know.

seems to me that the canadian gov dont like anyones qualification wether its a uni or trade certificate, when you concider i have trade certificates in the folowing

time served glazier
master craftsmen in stained glass
nvq level 2 plumber
cpcs cards for 360/180 excavator, telehandler and dozers.
studying nebosh general and construction certs.

i cant get my foot in the door anywhere in bc with any employer.

alberta is a little easier, due to the fact that there trade unemployment is about -5.7%.

from what i gather, there not into the percentage game and site safety assessments dont realy exist yet, they will do soon i have been told but 2009 is to far away for me.

if you want me to post you the responses to you or there content e-mail me on
