Hello all,
No doubt this isn't the first or last time you will hear this,so i appreciate your patience.I have worked in construction and the rail industry most of my life,im aged 47,but purely hands on and no health and safety experience as such, but am very conscious of safety on site,i want to have a career in this field and have just enrolled on my IOSH m.s course, can anyone offer any advice on what courses that i should follow this up with? I would appreciate any advice or comments you may have.

The IOSH Managing Safely will only skim the surface of what H&S is, this is probably an ideal introduction to determine whether or not you are interested in making a career.
Yor next point of call will be, depending on your industry, either the NEBOSH General Certificate or the Construction Certificate, or why not do both.
These can normally be taken over 10 - 14 days, intesively, block training or day release, contact local colleges or training providers in your area.
The next logical step would be the NEBOSH Diploma or even a post graduate diploma/degree
if tyou refer to the members page, you will see the underpinning knowledge required to obtain corporate membership of IOSH, and ultimately CMIOSH/FMIOSH which is what we all strive to attain.
