Garry,

Are you quoting rates for Offshore Oil&Gas sector? I'm looking at a position in construction. Oil&Gas usually pay a lot more than other industries.

Please be aware of what you are signing up to.
Most high salaries are due to working 10 hour days, six days per week and are remote from socialising and family.

The job in Bahrain ( spent 6.5 years there) appears to be for a local construction company 7 to 3

Find your own way accommodation, transport, utilities, flights ,schooling.

Hope this helps; having interviewed five health and safety managers from Bahrain, and recruited two for my team in Dubai. Who have given me the following info?

The general living conditions and life style in Bahrain is very limited, and the working hours are often 10hrs, 6 days a week. As for salary, the average safety manager’s salary in Bahrain is more like £40,000 tax-free.

So if the rate is well above the normal there is often a reason behind it?
