Posted By Craig Mills I posted a while ago, and got some quite good info which was really well appreciated. Im leaving the RAF in the next few months after 12 years service, and I wish to have a career in Health & Safety. Im 29 years old, so I have plenty of years ahead of me... I have completed the IOSH Managing Safely, and have had wide experience of being the H&S advisor for my department. Im enrolled on the NEBOSH General Certificate starting in April and I will also hold the City & Guilds 7303 training certificate which will enable me to be a HSE First Aid Instructor. If anyone has any advice they wish to share, I'd be more than grateful as I embark on a huge life changing few months. Thanks Craig Mills

Posted By CFT Craig Many ex forces have posted a similar question in the past and had much quality response. Try running a search on the forums, have a look and it may well be of help to you. I'm just off for a site visit now so don't have time to respond in depth, my Daughter however is in a similar situation and wants 'Dad' to help. I will send you what I have given my little one in the next day or so. All good wishes for your future. CFT

Posted By Kenneth Attwood Hi Craig, Similar situtation myself, left in April on Redundancy. What trade are you?. What area are you in?. If CTP are trying to flog you NUCO course, it might not be the best avenue to get your C+G. The manual handling trainers cert (train the trainer might be a better investment). I also recommend doing the NEBOSH Fire cert as it is only an extra unit and practical. It will be worth it though I have already picked up work from the back of it. E-mail if you want any more info
