Hello,

Basically i have just applied to university and been accepted on a course to do business and finanace for a duration of 3 years.

However i have recently had a change of heart and have decided to pursue my career in H and S.

I already have my NEBOSH general certificate and am now thinking of applying to middlesex university for a year course in BSC in safety and health.

I am currently working for a landscaping firm which works for big sites.
My duties are the surveying and health and safety. So in reality i have had two years experience in h and s even though my job doesn't require me do to great amounts of health and safety, just risk assessments and tool box talks etc.

After i graduate from my degree, assuming that I'm eligible to go on the course, what would be my next steps ?

what sort of salary would i expect to earn upon graduating ?

If i wanted to specialise in a certain sector how would i go about this ?

what areas are the best to specialise in, ie money wise etc

sorry for all the questions, its just that this is a very very big decision in my life and would like to know as much info as i can possibly get.

Any ones advice, opinions would be very much appreciated.

thank you for your time

Offshore Oil & Gas industry will pay in excess of £50,000 per annum. Two weeks on, Three weeks off. Best if you get some environmental qualification included in the H & S studies.

Frank
