Posted By RachelA Hi I am seeking a position that will enable me to combine my Health and Safety knowledge with the love of outdoors???? I would love to be involved with Agriculture H&S- equine ideal but not essential? These seem to be pretty rare in the job columns so thought I would post on this forum to see whether anyone has any vacancies or hints and tips on how to get involved in this side of the Industry? I have completed the Nebosh Diploma Part One and am studying toward Dip 2. I am quite new to H&S, started in Office environment, but now involved with Factory/ Construction, with about 3 years experience in total. I would be grateful to hear back from anyone about such a position. Thanks for your time. Regards Rachel

Posted By peter gotch Hi Rachel. Have you tried the following: 1. Major food companies who may have vertically integrated so as to have farm as well as processing operations. 2. Agricultural colleges who provide business services to employers. 3. H&S consultancies whose bread and butter is in small to medium enterprises [SMEs]. Might give you the opportunity for mixed workload including in the open air [as also 1.] In each case, you would probably benefit from getting an environmental qualification under your belt. Good luck, Peter

Posted By Linda Westrupp Hi Rachel Have you tried contacting the British Horse Society or the National Equestrian Centre. Both provide consultancy services to the industry and may know of any vacancies, now or in the future. Good Luck Linda

Posted By AF Why not also contact some of the larger hotels who offer activity packages? Some of the major ones have shooting/fishing, equestrian, off road, falconry, golf, etc Alex
