I am hoping to move abroad in the near future and wonder if anybody knows of how best to make contacts in Australia for H&S works in the construction sector. Company or agency contacts would be very helpful.

I am currently in Australia as a Safety Manager for a construction company in Queensland.

I would suggest the following as good places to start

www.seek.com.au set up an email alert - that way it will send you emails each day with jobs within your search parameters.

Also while you're at it do a search for OHS recruiters ..heaps around to check out...most of the generalist construction recruiters will also search out jobs as well.

www.scotfordfennessy.com.au a large OHS recruitment company based in Western Australia - does a lot of mining sector stuff but also construction

www.laingorourke.com.au/ I am sure you have heard of them !!!!

try www.allen-york.com they currently have a vacancy for construction SHE Manager and the position comes with 457 visa (sponsorship)
