Hello all,
I was wondering if some one could assist me. I am going to leave Ireland and go and do the Nebosh International Diploma in the UK. What are the advantages of this new course over the national one.
Im a bit lost as I will be leaving home to do it and its very expensive so I need to get it right. Would it be possible for a company to support me in this journey,I am willing to pay for the course myself but dont want to leave the undustry and will need to keep working.
Any suggestions,,,,I will be in the Coventry area.I am on a power plant at the moment and really want to stay in oil and gas as I love it. As soon as the course is over I want to travel and will go where ever I am sent. I have near 4 years construction experience and one year within oil and gas.
Please help people as its a huge move !!!!!!!!

There is a course running in Oman, but I believe that in the UK, it is only available in a distance learning format at present. A number of our Diploma course providers have expressed an interest in offering the international variant, but none have confirmed to us yet that they have planned a course in the UK. The main difference between the National and International versions is that the UK law is replaced by International Standards, eg from the International Labour Organisation (ILO). The National Diploma is obviously very well known and recognised and there are around 60 different providers of courses leading to it in the UK, with quite a few either in Coventry or within travelling distance.
