after 10 years working as either tower crane operator or crane coordinator/lifting supervisor i will in the near future be updating my c.v. with a view to applying for a full time health and safety role.I have the nebosh construction cert.and have recently attained the nebosh fire cert. Both courses studied by distance learning and financed by myself.I would like advice on my realistic chances of finding a full time health and safety role,i am 48 and live in the south east.

I would have thought with that experience in the lifting industry supported by your qualifications you will be snapped up very quickly.

IMO

Good luck, and well done on the change.

Colin,

The good news is yes, you have a very realistic chance of finding what you seek - just go for it!

You don't say whether relocation is an option for you. I'm currently looking for a full time Health & Safety Consultant........it's an excellent opportunity for the right person but based in the North West. I'm running an advert in www.manchesteronline.co.uk at the moment if of interest.
