Posted By Daniel Field Hello all, This is my first post and as someone with NO previous H&S experience I hope you may all be able to help. I have recently been approached by a sponsor who has said that I should get into the Construction Health & Safety industry and that if I chose to, they would pay for my qualifications. Now I understand that these qualifications are not something to be collected like Nectar points and my intention is to obtain a definitive answer to my question rather than offend. So my question is - What qualifications are required in order to become a Construction Health and Safety Adviser? Is there a generic minimum level or does it depend on the area of construction and the level of advice? Ok that's 2 questions but I hope you get my meaning. Thanks in advance. Dan

Posted By Carl West 1) Do a very basic health and safety qualification such as CIEH 1 day course
2) NEBOSH Construction Certificate
Also, buy a couple of decent construction safefy books too....
Good luck Daniel, keep us all updated how you get on. We were all in your shoes at one stage dont forget
Merry Xmas
Carl
