Posted By jason preston Hi, Just a query in terms of acedemic levels in Australia. I hold the NEBOSH level 6 diploma and wondered where this fits in Australia. Is it higher than the OZ diploma and IV certificate? Do the Australian employers recognise this qualification?

Posted By Hazel Harvey Jason, An Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualification at level 4 is considered to be the equivlent of a level 3 on the QCA and other UK frameworks. A level 6 Diploma such as NEBOSH is considered to be at Bachelors degree level depth. However, it is not to the breadth of a degree in terms of content. I think it is this lack of breadth that causes some problems with recognition of the NEBOSH Diploma by the Australian Authorities. Australian degrees are of a similar level to UK degrees.
