Hi
Could anyone tell me of any seminars, presentations, etc out there which are free to attend. Locality is essentail so boundaires of Yorkshire, Manchester would be desirable. I do attend free IOSH meeting, so I am looking of similar.

Barbour have some webinars available on their website and cover some of the H&S law issues. You have to register but they are free.

RPS Group runs seminars from Warrington, London and Aberdeen monthly on various matters
try also the various UK safety groups, which are aggregated on a website called safety networking -google it

There's the West & North Yorkshire Construction Safety Association who meet on the second Tuesday of the month at the Parkside Hotel, Pontefract at 1.30pm. It's £30 per annum which is very reasonable.

My company, Environmental Essentials, is holding a FREE Control of Asbestos (2006)Regs - Reg 4 Duty to Manage legislative update in Leeds on 3rd March. This is a morning session aimed at Duty Holders across all busines sectors and concentrates on asbestos awareness and regulations. We have received a good response from Yorkshire IOSH members in industry and building/allied trades to this event which we hold around the country.
