Hi everyone.
Just a quick thread. I would like to know peoples thoughts/experiences of residential courses whilst studying for the NEBOSH general certificate and NEBOSH Diploma . Basically are the courses very intense as i have heard or would you recommend distance learning as an alternative.
I am due to leave the RAF next year and would like to start a second career in H&S. I have identified a provider namely the Woodward Group in Carlisle who run residential courses.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Howard, I did both on a residential basis and found the informal learning very valuable, particularly when working as a team on assignments. I also enjoyed the time spent.

Howard,
Having used Woodward during my resettlement (Dip 1) and further study (Dip 2), I cannot speak more highly of them. The facilities including the local hotels are excellent. Woodward know all about the issues around the Forces including SLC and ELC and did have some Ex Forces working for them when I was there. The tutors are experts in their fields and are very supportive. I would thoroughly recommend them.
Good Luck,
Vince

Howard,
I used Woodwards for my diploma and construction certificate, call them and ask to speak to Tom or Ray, it is an excellent training provider in my opinion.
