Posted By MIKE WARBY Dear All
I work in London as a Health and Safety support officer and PCS Union Safety Rep and have finally been given the faciltity time to do my stage 3 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety after a short struggle.
Who else has done this course and has gone through some of the same experiences as i am going on the course in September?
Thanks
Mike Warby

Posted By The Bat Mike,
I started my H&S studies through the TUC Diploma in Glasgow. (George Waldram, lecturer extraordinaire)
A great course and gives you a good grounding in how H&S works, and how to address shortfalls in your employers systems.
Since then I have completed my Diploma at GCU and have now got a career in H&S Management.
The TUC course is definitely an excellent way to go when starting out, as it is more practical for issues that H&S reps will deal with on a day to day basis.
Enjoy!

Posted By Mark Eden Mike I totally agree with the previous comments. The TUC course gave me the grounding to go further, it also helped me when I was a safety rep for the GPMU.
