Two websites of absolute prime importance for anyone looking for work in oil and gas:
www.oilandgasjobsearch.com
and
www.oilcareers.com.
Both are free, and feature a CV registry service where you can upload your details, and prospective employers can find candidates according to their specific requirements for the job.
Good luck.

For those of you looking to pursue a career with the Oil and Gas Industry, should find the the below of some use.
Firstly try to ensure you have basic offshore certification listed below.
BOSIET ( Basic Offshore Survival Introduction Emergency Training).
MEDICAL ( Current Medical for offshore is required and desirable )
This is standard for everyone wanting to work offshore.
Then you need to decide what skills you can bring, the following topics are a good guideline to what may be required.
Environmental Awareness ( SEPA, EPA etc )
Permit to Work, Risk Assessments, Tool Box Talks.
Audits.
Accident Investigiation.
Working at Height.
PUWER, COSHH , EH-40 WELS, etc.
Training Experience.
Do not let the above phase you, companies will know that they will have to tailor train you anyway, as all companies differ, so just get your CV in to as many as possible, as there is a huge industry out there for all professionals within H & S.
Best of Luck

I think you will be very lucky if you get a company to take you on offshore if you don't have any experience in the industry, this is a completely different environment from any which you have experience of the safety standards are the highest you will experience any where in the world. Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't rate your chances of getting a position without having experience of the industry first in a lesser role.

Jonathon,
I tried using the report a concern link, but it was asking for information I either didn't wish to provide and/or didn't have available to hand

You forgot about two major providers in this industry: http://www.rigzone.com and http://www.oil-offshore-marine.com
What country/region do you target in your job hunt? Several days ago I read about some HSE jobs available in Russia (Sakalin or whatever the name is)...
Good luck!
