Posted By Robert B. Do you mean professional indemnity? I paid about £3,500 a couple of years ago. I was a one man band, carrying out a very small amount of surveys. Yes, it IS excessive!

Posted By Scott Pearson Hi Cas, depends on a number of factors really expected numbers of surveys insurers don't like to cover type 3 you need to show a good track record. If your a full member of IOSH it helps. Also depends on your expected turnover. The more safe guards you can show are in place also helps. I am registered P402 CMIOSH Maps plus a number of others under half a million turnover but I do have a couple of other qualified professionals covered by the scheme and they charge £1200 PA for a million coverage. Oval insurance cover my risk tel 0116 254 6221 they may be able to help. Hope this helps Cheers Scott
