After a couple of holidays and a few weekends in Sweden i've recently started to think about moving there for a year or two, i've looked into health and safety legislation and while similar they seem to have it fairly well formed in the workplace etc. my language skills arent particularly great, even english is a struggle!!
Does anybody know of how safety is managed over there, i hear part of the unions role, well sort of, but i've no real idea about that and i've never seen any jobs advertised!
Any help, stories, experiences would be great!

My limited experience of working in Sweden (aluminium production) was that the Swedes were much further down the line with safe at home, safe at work concept and the whole provision of occupational heath at work for non work related complaints. Get you to work then treat you. Rather than don't come in at all. They saw the benefits of spending a pound on safety now saves many times that in the long run. And that real change is not brought about by telling telling telling, but through understanding and deep driven buy in. Much more loyalty, I felt, to the business and a feeling of belonging. Pride really.
