Hello Wendi
I returned to the UK a few years ago after spending 17 years in the Netherlands.
I have known fellow Brits that have managed 25 years without learning the language, but is nice to learn as in "when in Rome".
The Dutch are very talented when it comes to languages and I guess it all depends in what sector you will be working etc. etc..
Please feel free to fire a few more questions and I am only to help....
Oh... and for the record...great country, way of life, working conditions...and..and.. go for it..
James

Agree with everything that has been said about the Dutch folk - always very friendly.
Never seem to expect you to speak Dutch but appreciate it when you have a go.
They seem to like the Brits. Three people from our Dutch plant have relocated to the UK recently. When I asked why they said "because the English are so friendly!".
