Posted By Anthony Edwards Hi there, I hold the Diploma and am on the torturous path via IPD to CMIOSH. I currently work for a consultancy and part of my role is to visit various clients construction sites (small to medium sites) and conduct Site Safety Evaluations and send the subsequent report to the respective management boards. Thinking of future employment, is it beneficial for me to take the Construction Cert when I already hold the Diploma. I have been conducting approximately 10 site visits a month for 18 months so am reasonably experienced. Thanks for your replies in advance Regards Nutty

Posted By Lewis123 Nutty, Why not just sit the exam - i am sure you will get a distinction with your eyes closed having that experience. Always good to have the extra paper.

Posted By MickN Nutty, Taking the certificate course in construction when you already have the Diploma doesn't make alot of sense to me. You have the diploma and soon will have the all conquering CMIOSH, the world of H&S is at your feet. If you are looking for direction I would suggest adding courses in fire safety, law or even engineering. You work in construction, you don't need more quals there.
