Posted By maxmillan maddy Hi Guys I have finally got myself an interview with the bbc in reading as a health and safety assistant. The last time i went for an interview was 7 years ago. My interview is on monday and feeling really nervous. Has anyone been to a health and safety interview recently? If you have how did you find it and what questions likely to be asked? Thanks.

Posted By graeme12345 Max; to get their they must like you, just be yourself, listen to what they ask / say, you already know most of your stuff, think about how h & s fits in with the bbc (you may be just workingin 1 dept. or team) look up any probs they have had in the past with any H & S breaches (if u can find them) interviews are always good experiance anyway, be confident, they will normally throw in a few "what if" scenario's but don't fluff around tell them how you would deal with it. hopefully you won't have to attend another for a long time

Posted By Jock I agree with the post above but dont be afraid to ask them for feed back on your interview and the next stage i the application process, i feel it shows a positive slant on your interview and that you acceot constructive critisism treat the interview as a relaxed meeting. I was talking about my night clubbing days in my last interview god knows how but i still got the job! ;p Stay relaxed and enjoy the experience best of luck Jock

Posted By Ian J B I was asked about past experiences.. 'tell me the most difficult h&s issue you have dealt with..' 'what would you do differently next time given that experience' I was also asked about what I felt my weakness was when it came to my h&S knowledge. I've gone through interview training and it pays to be honest, open and enthusiastic and if you don't konw something, admit that and tell them how you would ensure you found out the relevant information.. Good luck!
