Posted By KATE BYRNE Hiya everyone Yes its me again, haven't been on here for a little while. Many times I have posted a post saying I have the NGC and looking for a role to develop and gain vital experience that everyone new to health and safety needs. I just want everyone to know I have finally got a health and safety role and got it by putting post after post on here. My advice to anyone in a similar situation, keep posting, keep reply and basically keep pestering people and I am example that it works. Persistence is vital and the role that is right for you will appear! Honestly!!. Thank-you for all the advice, comments and tips that I have had from everyone! Take Care

Posted By philip john Hi Kate well done, as you will have spotted I too was doing the same as yourself: post after post after post will this work and guess what yes it did (IN THE END). I too have found a job, as the Principle Contractors Health & Safety Advisor. Love it! On my last Unit of diploma (Unit C & I'm about to start Unit D to put it in by March, Hopefully)! Hope to get the chance to work in Dubai next year on construction after the diploma is completed. As the industry will look good on my updated CV. To everyone looking keep at it as I nearly regretted going down the health & safety route but there is work out there just keep putting those CV's & posts about on sites like this. Phil

Posted By SharonR Congratulations Kate, I bet you are thrilled. I am so encouraged by your success as I too am looking for my first health and safety position after recently completing my NEBOSH Certificate. Counting the weeks down to results time! I have not had a very encouraging week with being told by several agencies that entry level jobs are few and far between and every job I look at in Hampshire needs someone with far more experience than me. Your success proves it does happen to those who work hard and keep trying so hopefully it will happen for me soon too.
