Like a lot of safety professionals, I am being made part time from December. This is quite a deflating experience, and a great time of year for this to happen.
Having been in the H&S industry, mainly manufacturing, mainly Northamptonshire for over 15 years,I need to try and make up the other two days a week, or seek what ever safety jobs are available.
Can anyone out there who has been or is going through the same as me, give some advice of the best way forward? (and help any other professionals who may end up in the same boat)
Any positive advice is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards

Thanks for your advice Steve
I have looked into this, and I will give this serious consideration in the New Year, especially as there doesn't seem to be much part time safety work around at the moment.
Kind regards

Good luck with it
look at funding options for the course where I am in wales the welsh assembly are good, also try business eye they are very helpful, take accredited courses in subjects you currently know then maybe you can branch off from there, look at the mandatory courses people have to take eg in my instance i oversee care homes and so the industry has a lot of mandatory training, fire awareness, health and safety, fire awareness and evacuation, pova, coshh, food safety and lots more
good luck hope it proves fruitful
